CLIMBING SCHOOL: from 6 years old to 106!....
For the neophyte, climbing is an activity that seems ever inaccessible and synonymous with dangerousness.
Try the Climbing School to initiate yourself into it and demystify this sports as well as mental activity!
You will discover the different techniques of scaling, ropes manipulation and climbing equipment. This session will also be the possibility to learn how to overcome your heights apprehension. All in a very pleasant natural site and managed by nice professional State qualified Climbing instructors.
HALF-DAY IDEAS:
Half day discovering session: € 280 (from 1 to 8 people – supervision + insurances + equipment provided).
VIA FERRATA: "Vertigo" Hiking!
«Via Ferrata» is a very strange word for those who aren’t familiar to the Italian language. Literally it means «iron way», referring to the original equipment used by the Italian Army on its pass through the Dolomite Alps during the First World War.
For more than ten years now, mountain guides have installed rock climbing equipments on the French side of the Alps to practice safely the sport of «sky-hiking».
Equipped with a helmet, a climbing harness, a specific safety rope, you will traverse and climb the cliffs following cables and climbing rungs.
The less experienced members of your party need not worry, your qualified guide will be there with you to guarantee your safety and make the course enjoyable.
Face your fears and experience the amazing scenery of the Alps. Rope bridges, chain bridges, and Tyrolean ropes make this activity open to everyone and an enjoyable experience for all your party.
A great way to discover the mountain, and it may be a stepping stone for other mountain activities such as climbing, canyoning and mountaineering.
Sights to see while visiting Via Ferrrata:
The Lantosque canyon above the Vésubie River, offering spectacular views of the river winding its way through the canyon.
Peille, a great view of this medieval village can be found after a one of a number of vertical ascents.
Entrevaux an aerial course in the mountains leads to fantastic views of another superb medieval village.
HALF-DAY IDEAS: A 2h30 to 3h00 course depending on ability: 45 € a head (equipment included, State qualified climbing guide, site entry fee – 6 people minimum).
VIA SOUTERRATA: Caving for everyone!...
The “Via Souterrata” is your route to discovering the underground world. The equivalent of the Via Ferrata but instead of crossing the mountains, you will explore caves deep underground. Equipped like potholers, with helmets, gas lamps, protection suit, harness with safety ropes and gloves; your guide will take you along a two hours underground course.
You will follow cables placed specifically for your safety and to provide an exciting trip into the underground. On your journey you will see in the same time concretions such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns, cave curtains, pools and many other caver structures.
After this informational tour is completed you are taken on a more sporting tour, this entertaining trip is open to everyone ages 10 and up. Make your way down shafts climb rung ladders, rope bridges, chain-bridges, it’s a tight squeeze at times! This is a safe course for a unique experience to be remembered.

CAVING: so amazing underground!
The natural cave discovery is an exquisite moment for those who have never entered into the depths of earth. The darkness and the absolute silence are both uncommon ingredients. Equipped with front-lamp, enter and discover this magic and silent world, your imagination will do the rest! This activity will lead you into a «caving» atmosphere without risks and constraint. Supervision by State qualified guides. HALF DAY IDEAS: (afternoon or evening): celebrate a birthday or another event underground, an original idea of which you will retain unforgettable memories… Rate: €40 /person (a minimum of 8 people required). DAY IDEAS: cave discovering thanks to different progression techniques. Rate: €50 person (a minimum of 8 people required). |
